Council on American Islamic Relations

Since the 9/11 terrorist attacks, the U. S. government has done much to increase government power and take away our civil liberties.  Muslim-Americans have often fallen victim to these agencies.  On Wednesday, September 12, 2012 Region 63 North San Gabriel Valley Foothill Libertarians hosted their monthly dinner club meeting at Panera Bread Restaurant in Pasadena.  The speaker was ADEL SYED, from Government Relations Director of CAIR (Council on American Islamic Relations – LA).  Mr. Syed gave an introduction to his organization, and a summary of CAIR’s ongoing lawsuit against the FBI for illegal surveillance practices in the Muslim community. 

Region 63 Monthly Dinner Club Meetings are the second Wednesdays of every month at  7:00 p.m. for dinner and conversation,  8:00 p.m. soeakers and discussions.

Location:  Panera Bread Restaurant, 3521 E. Foothill Blvd., in Pasadena (west of Rosemead Blvd, at the west end of the Hastings Ranch Shopping Center)
